Who's On First

Phone rings. Emily answers in the basement. She comes up the stairs to the family room, where Doug and I both are.

She calls, "Mom, Dad, phone."

Doug and I give each other a puzzled look, and he asks, "Which one?"

"The phone," Emily answers!

We laugh and Doug goes to answer the call.

I ask Emily, "Who's on the phone?"

And she says, "Dad."
