Olivia had her 2 month check-up today. She weighs almost 14 pounds. All of her measurements were above the 98% curve. She's about the weight and height of the average 4-month-old. No wonder she's outgrowing her 3-month size clothes! But she still seems small enough to me.
She had to have 3 shots, and she didn't take that very well. As Dr. Greg said, "When she leaves the fun park, she exits in a hurry." (Meaning, she's a lot like Emily was as a baby, in her temperament.) I'm pretty sure this is the first time, of all 5 girls, that I wasn't brought to tears watching her first set of shots. It always makes me so sad to see the hurt look on those little babies' faces!
But she's definitely getting lots of snuggles today, which she loves. She's a cuddler. She still enjoys being swaddled at night, which is also unlike my experience with the first 4. Maybe it's because they have these cool swaddling blankets that velcro snugly in place now, and we never had one of those before.

What a sweetheart! Olivia is working her way toward Uncle Aaron's record weight --- 18.5 pounds at 3 months and 3 weeks. Unfortunately, Aaron didn't have the other measurements (esp. height) to match his weight. He was a real "butterball". But look at him now --- so handsome. Anyway, I'm happy that we're getting closer to the time when I can once again hold sweet little Olivia and hug her sisters and mom and dad!
Lots of love,
Mom/Grandma D.
My baby O is on the same track - he was 14 lbs at his 2 month appt. as well. Gotta love the chubs, though!
